“Trivec’s POS system can be customized to my needs”

Restaurant Kastrullen in Åre has been using Trivec’s POS system since 2013. Today, they have five fixed pos, one order terminal (Handy), and they also want to offer QR codes this winter.

– The best thing about Trivec is that I can build onto the system with the solutions that suit my restaurant. I like that the system can be customized to my needs, says Patric Hoppe, one of the two founders of Kastrullen.

Restaurant Kastrullen in Åre is now a well-known restaurant among skiers. Located in Åre Sadeln, the restaurant offers a beautiful view from its spot in the mountains. The name Kastrullen (“The Pot”) harks back to the early 2000s when it was just a food truck on wheels that looked like a pot. There’s no trace of the food truck today, as it has been replaced by a beautiful log house with a restaurant kitchen, several bar sections, a dining area, and a tent extension for after-ski and a DJ. In winter, the place is filled with visitors enjoying coffee and lunch, while in the evenings, you can get fondue. Today, there are 25 employees, and Patric Hoppe envisions Kastrullen growing even more in the future.

For Patric, Trivec is an obvious choice. He likes that the POS system can be customized to his needs. Soon, he will add QR codes for ordering and payment. He sees QR codes as a complement to the staff, as he never wants to compromise on service.

QR codes are great if someone wants to order something extra, like a beer after the meal, once they’ve already interacted with the staff. They can easily order and pay themselves, he says.

Patric has also enhanced the POS system with an order terminal (Handy). With Handy, the headwaiter can quickly place a drink order when welcoming new guests. The drinks are brought out by runners, while the headwaiter can continue greeting new parties.

Fortnox + Personalkollen + Trivec

Patric likes that Trivec integrates with Fortnox, as it sends all daily reports directly to Fortnox, simplifying the entire accounting process. He doesn’t need to do anything manually. Thanks to the integration with Personalkollen, he can easily track staff costs against sales, so he knows how things are going.

My workflows are fully automated, which saves me time, says Patric.

High Usability

Patric thinks the POS system is highly user-friendly and easy to understand. He likes the clear submenus and the fact that it requires very few clicks.

It’s user-friendly, and I like that.
