“It was easy to scale up with Trivec when we opened more restaurants”
We spoke with Nadja from Kåbdalis (known as Gavmo in the 2024 Christmas Calendar), a mountain and family hotel founded by Nadja’s grandfather in 1966, which has since expanded to include two restaurants. Trivec has been their POS system provider for a long time, and she looks forward to continuing the partnership.
– We appreciate Trivec for its scalability. Right now, we are adding HandyPay since we have opened more restaurants and have an outdoor terrace. This will reduce unnecessary trips back and forth to the register and allow us to improve our service for our guests, says Nadja.
Kåbdalis was the filming location for the 2024 Christmas Calendar, set in a beautiful and authentic Sami mountain environment. Jokkmokk is a 30-minute drive north, while Luleå is about an hour and a half south of Kåbdalis. The area has recently expanded with more ski lifts and slopes.
User-friendly POS systems
The collaboration with Trivec has been ongoing for many years, and when the hotel’s restaurant operations expanded, choosing Trivec was an obvious decision. Nadja finds the POS system intuitive and technically easy to use. It is simple to modify menus and add or remove products since Kåbdalis frequently offers special menus.
Trivec’s POS system is easy for new staff to learn and for all of us to navigate, she says.

I’m very satisfied with the support; they are accessible and knowledgeable, she says.
Simple back-office
Nadja finds it easy to track the business’s performance. With MyTrivec (back-office), she can monitor sales over specific time periods and easily compare them with the same period in previous years.
The back office is easy to navigate, allowing us to see that things are improving year by year, which is super important for us, she says.

Scaling up with HandyPay – saving time
Nadja will start taking orders and payments using HandyPay from Westpay. With HandyPay, she can manage both transactions in a single device. One of their restaurants has two floors, with the register located on the lower level—this makes HandyPay a valuable tool.
“We will save a lot of time by not having to run back and forth to the register downstairs. We will also be able to welcome new guests more quickly,” she says.
